Baldwin Funeral Home, newly built and opened for business in October 2009, is a 20,000 square foot brick building, with covered parking around the perimeter of the building. A large foyer welcomes family and friends from the covered portico. The entire funeral home is richly decorated with antique oak furniture and accented with oak woodwork.
The funeral home features two full viewing rooms and a large casket selection room with a full selection of caskets, vaults and urns. The family meeting room has a full kitchen area set up so families may bring in snacks or a small meal to eat prior to or after the service if needed. There is a microwave, stove, refrigerator and tables. Also for the young children who may be visiting, we have available children's chairs and books to entertain them while your family visits.
There are two large men's and women's bathrooms, with multiple stalls for convenience.
The Chapel has a maximum seating capacity of 250 people, with a state of the arts sound system. The Chapel features antique oak pews, pulpit, floor stands, tables and buffet. A covered family parking area allows families rainproof parking.
An attendant is “on premises" at all times when a deceased is in the care of the funeral home.
The funeral home has a 2009 Lincoln hearse and six door limousine to take loved ones from the home, church and cemetery.
The Baldwin and Halliday families have lived in Stewart County, Ga. for over nine generations. The McGlaun family has lived in Webster and Chattahoochee Counties, Ga. for over seven generations. This history gives the operators of the funeral home a familiar knowledge of the areas.
