This is Christ's Church. There is a place for you here. Welcome!
We worship together at 11am and 6pm on Sundays. Our morning service includes a range of worship styles, including the organ, piano and bells. We use the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal, as well as other worship settings. The 6pm service is a Songs and Celebration time with the musical stylings of guitars, drums, keyboard, etc. This is a laid back service with people from various denominations.
During the 11am service, we have a children's sermon and then invite the young ones to leave the sanctuary for a special children's lesson.
They rejoin us before communion.
We are a multigenerational congregation. We've got babies in the nursery all the way up to the elders who remember their homesteading days! We've got singers and knitters, football players and bluegrass musicians. We've got commercial fishermen and politicians, teachers and medical personnel. We've got families who are connected by blood and families connected by choice. All are welcome here!
Our congregation loves for the building to be well-used and loved by the whole community. To see what's happening, check out our website's calendar here: http://www.christlutheransoldotna.org/calendar.html
We are a congregation through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and we are a part of the Alaska Synod of the ELCA.
Our pastor, Rev. Meredith Harber, is always willing to visit with you if you have questions about what it means to be Lutheran, Christian or curious about what these Lutheran Christians are doing here on the Peninsula. Contact the office and she'd be happy to chat with you!
Whether you're passing through town on a trip or are looking for a church home, we'd love for you to come visit!
